8" f/5.3 Briefcase Telescope

Here is my latest creation a super compressible 8" f/5.3 telescope. The whole telescope packs up into the tiny little briefcase next to it. The truss tubes come apart like pool cues and the whole thing takes less than 10 minutes to setup and a couple to collimate.  Views are sharp with surprisingly good contrast. The secondary light shield is made of play foam purchased from a craft shop. The focuser is my original 2" helical Crayford which was previously mounted on my 12.5" scope. My larger scope now sports a superb Feathertouch.

Another fun project nearly done.
